Willy Taco in Greenville

Ate here recently while in town for a convention. The food was fresh and delicious. Very reasonably priced. The menu choices were a nice change of pace. Loved the brussel sprouts, the fried green tomatoes and the southern tide taco. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Greenville.

I’ll start with the needs improvement before the praises. Margarita is fine, but wish it wasn’t served in a pint glass. Makes me wonder about the ratio of the drink. Queso is okay - it’s too thin; you can pretty much drink it. If it was thicker, it would be a hit. As for the tacos - ordered the Hot Chick and the Cauliflower Power. HC was tasty! Chicken tender was huge as well! Really enjoyed the CP taco as well. Cauliflower wasn’t mushy, which is a big plus. Wife ordered the Southern Tide - also a tasty taco. Wait staff is very friendly and the restaurant is kept very clean. Overall, a good dining experience. Queso and margs took one star off.

Super delicious!!! The tacos were the worth every cent. The waiter was very good, he took the time to explain the menu and help the kids pick dessert!

Micheal was my server, he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and had a smile on his face the whole time. Service was fast and the food was great. Ill definitely be coming back.

Plenty of space to socially distance and a lot of open air seating. Bowls and tacos are great.

Staff was sweet. Nice paint. Sports news? Really? Pickles on sandwiches, choiiiice. Better than universal joint.

Taco Cauliflower was incredible. Only 4 stars because the Taco salmon wasn't that special..

This place is amazing! All the food is great and you should try the fried green tomatoes best I've ever had!

My experience would be just 1 star but I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was my first visit. Be aware that if you sit outside (the section completely in the open) you will fight flies & mosquitoes the whole time. I know this may seem obvious but some fans, tiki torches, or treating the area for pests seems expected when people are eating in that area. The worst part of our experience was our treatment from the server. Each person in our party of 3 were spoken too as if we were misbehaving 4 year olds. It was a bad experience and I doubt I’ll go back.

We just had lunch here! The staff and the manager joey were amazing they were all so kind an actually would sit an talk with you an joke around! The shirts are so awesome i plan on buying one next time I go. Now onto the food the only word that comes to mind is PHENOMENAL!! It was so good! It had so much flavor and ugh it was just amazing!! All around great experience will definitely be going back soon!!

Good food and atmosphere. My wife enjoys the Crispy Avocado Tacos and I'm a fan of the Dang Chimichanga. Given how family friendly this place is, it's unfortunate there's no kids menu. The staff is always helpful in creating plates for the kids, but a dedicated kids menu would be make meals go much smoother.

One of the best taco places in Greenville! Try the mother clucker and blackened salmon, and wash it down with one of their awesome margaritas!

Pretty good prices for the Tacos. My girlfriend and I each got 3 of the 3 dollar tacos, and they were delicious. My only gripe is that chips and salsa aren't free like most other Mexican places. The food is still great, though, and our waitress was really nice.

GREAT FOOD! I like to try different menu items when I try a new-to-me restaurant and this is possibly the best Southwest Mexican food I have had in over 7-8 years. I tried the Southern Tide Taco, the Jerk Chicken Dilla, mexican street corn and Tres Amigos. I still have so much left but the first few bites delivered me here to leave a review. MMMMMMMMM.

Willy Taco has such an amazing family-friendly vibe! Awesome food and fantastic drinks. The bartender English is so friendly and funny and just makes for a great experience.

Willy Taco is an amazing place to eat, great atmosphere, and overall delicious food. I've eaten there since they opened downtown Spartanburg. Jeff is a great server, great customer service. Takes care of whatever questions you have, super funny and nice. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

My first visit today! I go in with my taste buds set for their special Torta, "Willie's Cluckin' Cuban" only to be informed that they don't have it and they they need to update their menu. Bummer! I love torta! But I settle for a couple of tacos which were OK. (They would have been been better if they had been the torta I'd been thinking about all day.) I had the chips and salsa (mild) while waiting for the rest of my group to come. I asked from some extra salsa and was told it was a dollar. OK. At least my waitress was friendly but a little embarrassed. It wasn't her fault. I MAY be back but there are a lot of good Mexican restaurants in town----and a couple of them aren't as tight on their salsa. : ) NOTICE AND ADDITION!Wow! I got a response and explanation from the owner Immediately. Points for them!!! We'll be back! Here are 5 stars!

Always love stopping by for a drink and some tacos with my dog. They are very pet friendly with an awesome atmosphere. When you stop by, make sure to ask for Nate. He is an excellent waiter and provides a great experience!

I heard/read good things about this joint. I'm not a picky person, but I was expecting better. The salsa was good, but the tacos were just okay. Overall? I wasn't impressed.

I didn't think the fried green tomatoes were anything special like all the reviews said, I mean they are good, I wouldn't order them again though. Fried Spicy chicken taco was delightful! Salmon taco tasted like Tuna. Shrimp taco was delicious!

If anyone is looking for tacos or dinner or just a fun round of margaritas, you can’t do much better than to give Willy‘s a try. Fantastic service. Got to meet manager Tim, he was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Good people Awesome place, 10/10 would recommend.

My fiance and I come here at least once a week. We have tried almost everything on the menu and absolutely love it! The customer service is always fantastic and we are treated at home. Love both Will and Joey! Would recommend this joint to anybody in a heart beat and is hands down my favorite place to go to. Very relaxed environment which is great for friends, casual dates and families!

Without a doubt, hands down the best taco place in Greenville. Fun and friendly atmosphere! Be sure to start yourself off with a “Los Tres Amigos” to share with your group before selecting one of deliciously eclectic taco creations. I personally suggest the Patagonia Steak, the Chili Willie Shrimp, and the Southern Tide. Wash it all down with one of the regular house taps, a classic margarita, or one of their special cocktails. There is no way to go wrong here!

Touchless menus and touchless pay options! I've always loved the food here its delicious and they are definitely taking precautions with everything going on! Highly recommend

It was good but I like old plain iceberg lettuce and the greens were the fad stuff that isn't good to me but the rest of the salad was great. Great staff and personable manager.

Loved our experience here. The Tres Amigos queso, guac, and salsa with fresh blue corn chips was amazing. I had the steak taco and it had amazing flavor the tortilla was the only part that I thought could be improved upon as it was a bit lackluster. If you like Mexican Corn they have some of the best I've tried stateside. The citrus aioli was on point.Great atmosphere and service. Thanks!

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I LOVE a good margarita--and good food. The margaritas at WT never disappoint. The mix is so fresh and perfectly balanced. As for food, the cheese dip is amazing to start, but absolutely do not skip the Fried Green Tomatoes. The only thing that I could ask for is that they bring back food specials during Happy Hour!! I used to go in for some afternoon snacks and a marg nearly weekly until they stopped that menu. :(

Love this place. I’m from out of town here on work and have ate here several times now and it is always good. Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. It can get quiet packed on some days tho.

When I tell you the atmosphere is beyond refreshing It is Not only is the bartenders amazing and attentive but the pay attention no matter how fast paste things are not only is the food amazing but I recommend the 3$ tequila shots and the Willy cheesesteak quesadilla boy this is the hangout spot for good vibes and great food !!!

We had a really bad experience with our server. She never introduced herself, or I’d gave included it. Really stinks because we used to like going here but I honestly had such a bad experience that we won’t come back. Hopefully you get a good server when you go because some of them are great.

This was my second trip to Willy Taco. Love the atmosphere and food. Staff is definitely above average. Even met the manager. Food is great, prices are fair. Bear in mind I have to drive 60 miles to get here and I'll go back.

Three tacos and the chimichanga one thing in common ALL were soggy, the tacos leaked when bitten the chimichanga was just soggy. I did get it togo but it was also bland. I wasn't impressed at all. Maybe dine in is better, I wont call in an order anymore

Brussels sprouts were amazing. Didn't realize the tacos come on flour tortillas. They have soft shell corn... You just have to ask. Will know for next time.

Service was great our server was very attentive and nice. The food though was meh my wife's tacos were dried out chicken tender that was burnt. With a few bacon scraps. Mine was better the pulled chicken was tasty but they rely on lettuce to occupy the toppings and very little other toppings. The tortillas were old and hard around then edges. Probably will not return, tipsy taco is still my favorite.

Its tex-mex, just wasn't to great to me. It was hot and someone brought their dog with them that kept barking the whole time. So all in all it wasn't to terrible. Would I go back..nope not me

I can (and have) eaten here multiple meals in a row. It is one of the few places where I love almost everything on the menu so I never get tired of it! My faves are the Patagonia steak taco, the dang chimichanga, Willy's taco salad, the street corn fritters, and the coconut lime margarita. On my visit today, we had the BEST server I've had yet, Nate. He was really attentive, efficient, and kind. Don't waste your time with any of the other taco joints in town. Willy is the best!

This place was awesome! Great margaritas, delicious tacos, and excellent music. The bartenders were fantastic and fast, which I was surprised about given how busy they were. I can't wait to go back!
